December NorthBayNews

Ring silly bells! O how they ring…say, didn’t we plan to go caroling or something at one point? Someone was threatening flash mob…I know it wasn’t me because the last time I flashed there was no mob LOL probably one of those crazy Frog Songers, you know how they roll. If not check out their holiday thingy and find out!

Did you go to the Salon? I didn’t make it. Twisted me ankle. See what happens when I’m not on roller skates?!?! Walking on flat ground, nary a rock to be seen. and boom! Thought about it…was it fun? Did people go? I was sad to miss it. Hope you all had fun and want to do it again so I can come too : D

Here is wishing you fruitcake. the good kind.

xoxo RLL

Aurora Palo Alto – Burning Man Art In The Real World – Deadline 11/26

If you were in the Silicon Valley city of Palo Alto last Saturday, you know what an impact the unveiling of “Aurora Palo Alto” had on the community, its spirit, and its children! This magical tree — full of LEDs and copper leaves that rustle in the wind — was created by artist Charlie Gadaken for Burning Man 2011. Now, it will be part of the landscape in front of Palo Alto City Hall for the next year!

But this isn’t the playa, and it takes real-world money to keep the lights on and make sure the electrical systems are waterproof and safe from the elements. Charlie has funded the entire installation himself so far, but there is a grass-roots Kickstarter campaign to make sure his expenses get covered. We’ve only got six days left to raise the rest of the Kickstarter goal to make sure the project is funded. Please, visithttp://kck.st/19uf3Hv and make a contribution!

You can see photos of Aurora here:http://www.flickr.com/photos/29663663@N00/sets/72157637789676505/

and our usual salon on the third Wednesday of the month, making it the 18th of December. what shall we do? would you like to do an activity, or sit and chat? we’ve been invited out to Lauren and Chuck’s place in Monte Rio. Would you go? Is that too far? it’s fine for me, I’d haul my cookies out there. besides they are so cute! well let me know. I am also fine to have it where we did last month, or go skating, ice or roller, as long as my ankle cooperates. so chime on in North Bay, and let’s get our celebration on. or caroling, you know I’ll sing at the drop of a hat. but no we are not going to replace merry with molly, and I don’t care what Barry says. a girl has to have her standards LOL ps I did hear tell of a Santa Rosa SantaCon, or some such so hey. ho ho you ho’s. xoxo RLL
