Hello there! It’s me again, just checking in to let you know what is going on around our region. We are shaking off the dust and getting all kinds of things going.
Chimera Arts Space is back in action and homing in on a location for a DIY shared workshop in the Santa Rosa area. Check out their website and get in on the ground floor.
Fire in Glass, the Second Annual North Bay Decompression, arrives on November 3, 2012. Get involved! We are scheduling stages, finalizing art and placing theme camps NOW! Santa Cruz decompression – UnScruz – is this weekend on Sunday, September 30th. The first official decompression event of the year in California! They have some brand new regional contacts and they’re all fired up and raring to go. w00t! kick it off right, Santa Cruz style.

The 13th Annual SF Decompression Heat The Street FaIRE! is October 7th on Indiana Street starting at high noon. To contribute a sampling of your favorite playa photo/video imagery, email flambelounge(at)burningman(dot)com and they will share your best photos on the screens at various stages.

SoulFire is a three day camp out at Lupin in the Santa Cruz mountains on the weekend of October 12th. It’s a clothes free hot springs with lots of camping and an enclosed space with a dance floor for the whomp whomp.
Reno decompression, Fertilize Your Mind, is on October 13th. ok, not really in our region, but still.
People in Motion Screening plus Q&A with the Filmmaker and Artist, Lonnie Tisdale on Thursday, October 18th, 6:45PM-9PM at Burning Man HQ, 995 Market Street, 15th Floor San Francisco. It’s a movie about parkour, to learn more, check out the film’s website.
Fire Fall is the Humboldt Burners unofficial decompression-type event, it’s on October 20th at Area 74 up near Fieldbrook. The burners of the North Coast are on fire this year, this promises to be an amazing event.
Mischief Labs is having a Humboldt fire festival on the 26th and the 27th up at Blue Lake called Sea of Flames, Fire for the Arts. Fresh off their SlipKnot gig this crew is smoking hot.
