Here’s how YOU can help!
- Respect Our Neighbors. No loud noises, don’t block driveways, use OUR toilets and enter and leave the area VERY quietly. Don’t park at the Barlow or camp overnight in the neighborhood.
- Green Your Commute! Take mass transit or bike! There will be bike racks at the venue. Or carpool and park at the Community Center lot at the end of Morris St. (a few blocks away) or along Morris St.
- Express Yourself and pARTicipate! Wear your finest playa pageantry. Bring warm layers for evening. To register art/performance/theme camp, email northbay@burningman.org so we can accommodate and celebrate YOUR special contribution to this amazing community. ALL sound systems, fire art, theme camps, vehicles and stage acts MUST be registered and confirmed ahead.
- Perform Random Acts of Art, Kindness and Gifting! NO vending.
- No Unapproved Food/Beverage Service, Fire Performance, Fire Art, Fire Hats, Candles or Burning Clumps of Sage — these will jeopardize our event. Leave unregistered sound and fire home and if you see anyone with fire outside the fire art barricades or fire stage, ask them to PUT IT OUT and AWAY!
- NO SOUND AFTER 10pm and No Boom Boxes or renegade sound! Only the indoor sound area goes until 2am with a chill set. If anyone is drumming, yelling, playing music or making amplified sound after 10pm, PLEASE stop them! Shhhhhh!
- Pack out ALL trash you bring and LEAVE NO TRACE! Pick up any trash and deposit in appropriate sorting pails. By Sunday at 12 pm EVERYTHING MUST BE GONE. If you are exhibiting, bring a broom to sweep the sidewalks clean, pack out what you brought, and pick up large debris in the street. Also remove unwanted fliers from cars and exit quietly.
- Volunteer! This is a volunteer-driven event. Email northbay@burningman.org to help. Or stop in at Volunteer Sign-Up when you arrive.
- Protect the Parking Lot! No stakes, fire of any kind, BBQS, unleashed dogs, amplified sound, vehicles or bikes in the parking lot or inside.
- Leave Quietly and Travel in Groups to help one another to your next destinations. If alone, ask a Ranger for help. This is an urban setting and there is safety in numbers. Do not drive if you have been drinking. Have a designated driver or get a ride.
- Come Back 10 am Sunday Morning!: Leaving the neighborhood cleaner than we found it is a gift we are serious about giving. Come from 9 am-noon for our clean-up! Bring gloves and brooms if you got ’em. We’ll bring supplies, free donuts, coffee and thank you gifts!
