From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, October 7 and 8, there’s a free event in Sebastopol when members of the public can help make public sculpture. It’s called Sculpture Jam.
The two large sculptures under construction are of a female robot with wind-driven moving gears inside her, and a large whale tail. Attendees can help in making the art pieces, chat with Jammers, or just watch; the event is low-key, and all ages are welcome. You’ll find Sculpture Jam in the south patio of the Sebastopol Center for the Arts, around the left side of the building: 282 South High Street, Sebastopol. There is plenty of parking.
